It is a 1980’s Mk 1 model, without the purple logo (which I never liked anyway), and it was played professionally before I bought it in 2005, so it has been well used and the lacquer shows its pedigree in place.

I bought this top-of-the-line, limited edition Yamaha sax from a friend (who bought it new) in the late 90s (I was a keen amateur who hasn't played for a few years). All the lacquer is in great condition, and there are only a few light scratches on the bodywork, as the photos show.
