A Vintage Pair Of Carl Zeiss - Jena Delactis 8 x 40 Binoculars With Their Original Case Which Displays An Official, Period "The Football Association" Label The item bears a serial number (1539044), dating them to around 1934. Approx; 14.3cm end to end and 19cm across. Optics, collimation are good. No damage to prisims. The binoculars have some issues and a service is recommended if you wish to get the best out of them. There appears to be something small, loose inside. A semicircular piece of plastic or the like. The right hand objective lens has what looks to be a couple of scratches on the inside. The binoculars focus well through both lenses and the image looks clear to me. the case is obviously used and will require a new leather stap. Generally good overall condition, as shown.

A nice used condition pair of 10x50 'Dienstglas' Officer's binoculars, as issued to and used by nearly all branches of the Wehrmacht/WSS. They retain the vast majority of the original factory finish, as well as being clearly marked with the Carl Zeiss Jena 'blc' maker code and serial number on the right-hand prism plate.
