Looks like oak, trellis carved edgeing to top , stub plinth, frontal curved shelf, light wax will bring out the colour of the grain. Intact 1.3mt wide x1.5mt high overall Inset1mt x1mt 1.2mt to shelf. Bedroom photo shows what it can look like insitu, French polished. It’s nearly 100 years old,; so aged I think naturally.some age related marks and scratches, to shelf and frame,a good French polisher will fix it. (Possible free delivery if yr local)

A beautiful fire surround typical of its era with panels, shelf and central mirror which is still unblemished. It has had many coats of paint over the years and requires stripping back or filling before repainting. The main body width is 121cm, at the top mantel it measures 136cm across and at the bottom 126cm. Opening is 94cm wide x 91cm high.

Removed from living room during renovation. Could do with stripping and refinishing, it’s in a well used condition and will require some work to repair. Has some damage from removal to beading on left hand side. I’d imagine repairable. We also have the tiled back cement board. Tiles could do with a clean up, burn marks around fire and a couple of crack tiles on right had edge, not terrible but noticeable. (Very heavy). Collection only from SE12 Near Grove Park.
