Pic # 2 is from an old 1950's E.V catalog showing this very model. Before the 611 and 911 models there was only the 610 and 910 model. These were the forerunner to the later 611 and 911 mics that were sold from the 1950's to 1960's.

There is no difference between the 1246 BL & the E.V 630 model. The badge on the mic is the only physical difference. You don't see too many of these 1246 BL models and this one is a real gem. It has a grittier tone that is void of bass so it's good for HAM radio operation and even better as a harp mic.

This is the E.V model 640 dynamic microphone with a heavy industrial / deco styling. It was introduced in 1945 and made in South Bend, Indiana. The 640 was sold in two versions. If you are looking for a rare Electro Voice microphone to add to the collection or simply use for a variety of purposes then you might want to consider this example.
