The PL-80 has a very unique and more aggressive stick mic design as you can see in the pics provided. The E.V PL-80 is also set at low impedance with a very strong signal as well so you really don't need any gain on this model and it's a "super cardioid" model so it picks up much less background noise.

This is the Electro Voice 926 model crystal microphone which closely resembles the E.V 623 model. I don't know the model # that Knight gave this microphone as there is very little info on them. It should be noted that this 926 like most of that era no longer works.

This 419 stand was based on the 418 model and was made of made of magnesium. The upper portion of the 419 mic stand was different however as the two holes were spaced farther apart to hold certain E.V model mics.
