It is dated 1896 as the year of manufacture. This is a classically styled late 1800's model with a simulated black and tan french marble finish, paw feet, solid brass molded columns and solid brass lion's heads on either side.

The inside plate is etched with a circular"Made in USA Seth Thomas" at the top. Dark walnut woodgrain. Clock case shows wear. The clock was sold by I have no idea whether or not this clock works, but it appears to have everything it should.

Adamantine is a celluloid finish that in the catalogs is described this way; “the finish is very durable and cannot be scratched or dented by any ordinary usage”. The finish on this clock in very good condition for a clock that is over 110 years old.
